1907 Hammond 12

This is the semi-rare yet desirable Hammond 12 typewriter. The Hammond itself was a monumental pre 1920s typewriter that changed the landscape of mechanical writing. This particular machine has an unusual Hispanic key layout, and is worse for wear, but functions very well for its age. It comes right off the shelf from my personal collection, and I have composed with this machine for about three years. It is a good writer. The only real issue is the missing backspace key top (which I replaced) and the broken part off the back end of the turret (which is hard to notice and doesn’t effect typing).

It comes with a new ribbon, a brand new impression strip (where the typing happens) three type shuttles, and the top case (which is hard to come by).
