1931 Royal Model P (Custom Factory Finish)
This beautiful Royal P comes in a very rare hand painted finish that was custom ordered from the factory in the 1930s. Finishes like these are quite rare since very few people were throwing money at cosmetics during the middle of the Great Depression. The machine has been stripped down for a deep clean, and has been fully serviced and adjusted, and comes with all new rubber. A new platen, new feed rollers, and new feet. It also comes with the original carrying case, though it’s a bit worn.
The machine is in amazing condition, the paint is in beautiful shape shave for a few minor chips and wear marks. The internals of the machine are very clean, though there are a few spots of light surface rust reminiscent of decades of neglect. None of this affects the way it types.
Ships with a brand new ribbon on original Royal metal typewriter spools, and comes ready to type right out of the box. A video of the machine in action is on its way :)
