1939 (cursive) Smith-Corona Standard Portable in Vertical Script

These early Smith Corona typewriters are a joy to use. They feature a wonderfully light and responsive typing action packaged neatly in a gorgeous streamlined shell.

This particular machine features the Vertical Script typeface, ultra-rare on its own, and not usually found on older portable typewriters. This machine has been fully serviced, cleaned, and adjusted, and features all new rubber (feet, feed rollers, and platen). It comes ready to type with a brand new ribbon. Unfortunately the case for this machine did not survive, it had some water damage that also affected the machine, though all mechanical issues have been successfully resolved. It types like a dream and looks like one too.
