The Olympia SM3 is one of my favorite Olympia Portable Typewriters. This particular one is an earlier model which contains an additional row of springs, allowing this machine to type just a bit faster than the others in the lineup. Despite being an older model, this machine still delivers the unparalleled print quality that’s expected of the brand.
This SM3 features a brand new rubber platen, and a set of brand new solid rubber feet. Ready to type right out of its original (and beat up) carrying case, with a new ribbon installed.
Cosmetically, the paint is in great shape, and the chrome is nice and shiny. The machine was stored in an area where there was decent moisture causing a lot of rust. The rust has been cleaned out, but the bare metal internals still show scarring from it’s previous life. Functionality is 100% and warrantied for a year (as all machines we sell are).
