RARE 1896 Williams 3 (EDITED)

The Williams typewriter is one of the most unique pre-1920s typewriters, and the Williams 3 is the most unique of the line. This elusive wide carriage model represents some of the earliest advances in visible large format typewriting.

This machine is an absolutely stunning example. It is in very good condition, having been professionally preserved with ALL new rubber (feet, feed rollers, and platen). In addition to all new rubber, it also has a brand new mainspring coil to replace the old broken one. This machine is future-proofed and fully functional.

This machine was manufactured in Derby CT in 1896, making it a shocking 127 years old!
