SOLD Rare French Typo Typewriter (1915)

$1,000.00
Sold Out

This variation of the Imperial model B had been branded as the “Typo,” a rarer subvariant of the model with only 30 or so examples known worldwide. Made in 1915, this particular machine features the original French Keyboard, the original wooden base, original metal ribbon spools, and is in near mint condition. There is no rust, and no paint finish loss.

It is one of the most popular variations of the ideal keyboard, a curved layout that we today would refer to as ergonomic. Type strikes the machine in a visible fashion from the top down, and prints cleanly and straight. Top case is missing, but the machine makes an exceptional functional display piece nonetheless. A truly beautiful pre-1920s european typewriter.

The typewriter is in excellent working condition with a brand new ribbon and brand new feed rollers. While it can take a two color ribbon, a solid black was fitted for aesthetics. Contact me for more info.
